Alrighty, I'm just wondering- what's everyone's favorite breed(s)? I'm in the process of creating a Thoroughbred stable, but that's the only breed I've been focusing on for quite some time now. I'd like to breed something in addition that will be popular with everyone in general. Any ideas?

Warmbloods, TB Crosses, Hanoverians, Oldenburgs, Holsteiners, etc. Anything that'll event higher levels, I love.

Arabians arabians and Arabians-and half arabians! The most beautiful and versatile breed in the whole world...plus they can be bred to other breeds to get awesome characteristics-enhancing movement for instance by breeding to a warmblood (I've had great luck crossing arabs and oldenburgs, holsteiners, hanoverians, and KWPNs), or to a saddlebred or morgan for saddleseat type action/upheadedness. Get killer western horses with colour too when you breed to a paint or QH or Appy:) Great breed and breeds!

LOL. Arabs is the breed, huh? What about paint Quarter Horses? I was thinking of specializing in some type of colorful breed. But ya know, arabs are definitely something to think about. Thanks, everyone!

Although Arabians & Morgans are excellent choices, I prefer Stock Horses. Quarter Horses are an all time favorite of mine, not only for their versatility but their preformance & personality. I used to own a quarter horse mare named butterscotch, and she was a dream. She was extremely good under both the western saddle & the english saddle, and since then I have been obsessed. I also enjoy the occasional paint & appaloosa, because they are just like a quarter horse but with color. >_<

I totally agree. There's just simply something about Stock Horses that draws me to them. Umm, I feel really stupid asking, but what are some good bloodlines for stock horses? -blush-

It REALLY depends on what you want to do with your horses, but I suggest a lovely QH named Buster's Request. He's a well respected reining horse, and he's sire some wonderful working and show animals. You may have a hard time finding tons of info on him, but if you want his full ped, I'd be happy to give it to you!

One stallion I must reccomend is Mr Conclusion. He is an outstanding chestnut 1982 AQHA stallion, and one of the best halter horses. >_< If I am correct he was both a world champion & a reserve world champion ^_^ He has lines to conclusive, impressive, three bars, otoe, leo, and even lightning bar. He is such a wonderful boy. I would've loved to have a horse by him in real life. -runs off to her dream world-
Skipper W is also nice to have in a Quarter Horse pedigree. He was born all the way back in 1945, but he made a big impact on the AQHA society today. He was another great halter horse, with lines to cowboy, yellow jacket, nick, and sheik. Though most of his pedigree is made up of unregistered pure quarter horses, he was definately one of the greatest boys.
Scribbles lines are wondeful. Man oh man this boy was great. I love his offspring. He was on of the best paint stallions, in my eyes. He produces only the best quality. He was actually an APHA lifetime leading stallion. ^_^ Our Sir Prize was his sire, and he alone was a APHA Supreme Champion. Scribbles had amazing conformation, and a big hip bone to back that up, lol. He made for a great Halter & Western Pleasure Horse, but also did reining, hunter hack, barrel racing, & even team pennning. -drools-
I might post some more of my favorites later on, but I've run out of time for now. LOL
