Craiglathie are proud to be the forerunners of the Irish Draught and the Irish Sport Horse in HF. Our horses are consistently placed and unequalled as eventers. All the stallions listed will cross excellently with Arabians, Thoroughbreds or Warmbloods to produce competition horses of the highest quality and pedigree.
All the stallions are proven producers and consistently throw beautiful and talented foals. If you are interested in a hunter, eventer or sporthorse of unequalled beauty, pedigree and talent look no further! Our reputation speaks for itself.

Culloden's Glory
BREED: Irish Draught
GENDER: Stallion
HEIGHT: 17.0 hh
COLOUR: Black
BORN: 1992
SIRE: Irish Elegance
DAM: Dublin Glory
Glory is one of the handsomest stallions around. He has perfect conformation for his breeds and is proving himself to be an extremely dependable hunter. He has a huge jump and gorgeous manners. he could easily be a lady's hunter. He is gentle and willing although he is a stallion he has never been skittish or acted up with me. He is a powerful horse but I would be conmpletely confident to seat a child on him. He is a perfect gentleman, always asking or suggesting, never demanding and it is a pleasure to work with him beacuse he is so intelligent and sensible.
He has great pedigree in his bloodlines and is related to that great Irish stallion Seacrest (sire of Cruising) and his dam was out of that great horse Clover Hill. His excellent pedigree speaks for itself.

Craiglathie Tiarnach
BREED: Irish Draught
GENDER: Stallion
HEIGHT: 16.2hh
BORN: 1996
COLOUR: Dapple Grey
SIRE: Clover Hill
DAM: Tiarnarcha Toiresa
Tiarnach (pronounced teer-nahk) is gaelic for lord which doesn't come as a surprise when meeting this wonderful stallion for the first time. He was one of the last foals to be born from the world famous Irish Draught stallion Clover Hill and Craiglathie is proud to own him.
He is primarily a breeding stallion so it comes as no surprise that he is a real challenge in halter classes as he has wonderful clean legs, a nice short back and a big chest with long, sloping shoulders. However, he is also proving to be a very promising hunter horse and I plan to aim him towards hunter trials and working hunter classes as he is developing wonderful collection and a nice scopey jump.
He has a very mature and easy-going countenance and has never shown any frightening violent, stallion-like tendencies. He is already competing at over 4'0 and is Prix St Georges standard.

*Caliente
BREED: Russian Arabian
GENDER: Stallion
BORN: 1995
HEIGHT: 15.2 hh
COLOUR: Grey
SIRE: *Princip
DAM: Tsara Amarilla
Around the stable, Cal is on the whole a very amiable and friendly horse. He has quickly discovered that if he whiffles your hair if you stop to say hello, he will get a lovely treat! He can be very cheeky but it is more mischief than bad temper. On the other hand, if Cal doesn't get his own way or is asked to do something in a lesson he doesn't want to he is apt to rear and buck.
He isn't great with other horses either as he tried to bite and kick Dusk when they were out on the trails together. He likes being the centre of attention and refuses to share it with anyone. I think Cal's problem is that he is an extremely intelligent horse but because he is so clever he has a very low boredom threshold. you have to realise this very soon or it could cause problems. he needs to be kept occcupied with lots of toys and lots of riding, not just schooling but hacks as well.
As Cal is a committee horse as opposed to a horse bred and raised to compete, a lot of ground work lies ahead. He has a nice jump and very smooth paces. He has shown an aptitude for showjumping and could do very well as he is big for his breed but a lot of schooling and learning lies ahead. Cal also carries himself beautifully and will be someone to look out for in halter classes for his breed.
Sionce I got Cal from the committee that plan was only to compete him lightly. That all changed when I discovered his zest for competition! Cal has always placed in every competition, 75% of the time in the top 5! He is already jumping over 3' and his dressage is coming on amazingly. He has a gorgeous action and a natural flair! His winning attitude and indefatigable personality also help. Cal has already produced a gorgeous foal, Bywinds Pinot Grigio, that is tuning out to be a champion in his own right!

This is a big, beautiful stallion with bags of personality! His amazing conformation doesn't even begin to hint at the amount of potential this boy has.
His paces are faultess, and he has already loose jumped over 4'4! He is quick to learn and eager to please. He is sensible and very affectionate therefore making him a joy to work with. His lovely temperement and amazing pedigree also means that in a couple of years he will be stood at stud. His traning will be primarily geared towards showjumping and dresssage and only time will tell which he excels in!

BREED Half Arabian, Half Selle Francais
COLOUR: Dark Bay
GENDER: Stallion
BORN: 1999
HEIGHT: 16.3 hh
SIRE: Bourobay
(Galoubet De Rouet X Ouivaa)
DAM: Pandora
(Anonymous x Burning Bright)
Phaeto is a super masculine and athletic colt recently purchased from the incredible Sandy Creek Arabians. He resembles his Selle Francais side more than his Arabian side as he is huge, very athletic and always a show-off!! He is graced with incredibly airy movement and unbelievable suspension. He has a big, scopey jump inherited from his champion showjumper father Bourobay.
His dam Pandora was a Reserve National Champion in Formal Combination so there are no holes in terms of beauty or talent in Phaeto's pedigree. We have large hopes for Phaeto as both an eventer and sire of eventers. His presence in the showring coupled with his wonderful aptitude for jumping and dressage promise to make this special stallion a future champion!!

BREED: Russian Arabian
COLOUR: Grey
GENDER: Stallion
BORN: 1999
HEIGHT: 15.3 hh
SIRE: Oman (Muscat x Principalia)
DAM: Tataliyah (Balaton x Mukkarrah)
This incredible Russian Arabian stallion goes to prove what the best of Egyptian, Polish and Crabbet lines can do when they are brought together. His name is the Russian for 'gold', because as far as Craiglathie is concerned, he is worth his weight in it!! His sire Oman, is out of the incredible Russian bred Muscat. Muscat was rated Elite in the Russian studbook and was the first Arabian ever to win the Arabian Triple Crown of Championships. His dam is out of the equally highly bred Balaton who is out of *Menes, another gem from the world famous Tersk stud and not only sire of countless champions. Balaton is currently the chief stud at Tersk and is out of the prominent Aswan daughter Panagia.
Strength, grace, presence and dignity mark this impeccably bred stallion. He has wonderful manners, natural high hock action and wonderful floating paces. He is a definite contender for any halter title and has shown great flair in sporthorse disciplines, especially hunter/jumper. He will be used primarily as a stud but we are also anxious to see how he does in the showring as so far he has shown great potential!
